Welcome to Goshin Ju Jitsu

A brief history of Goshin
The Goshin Ju-Jitsu Association was established in A.D. 2000 by principle Instructors Nicholas G Charalambous and Jason Fitzpatrick. The reason we choose Goshin as the name for our Association is because we are a Self defence orientated system that concentrate on the effectiveness of our techniques without some of the constriction of the old traditional systems. The traditional systems are still very effective but can take a lot of time and dedication to learn. At Goshin we pride ourselves on the fact what we teach can be used almost immediately especially in a self defence confrontation.
In 1985 Professor N.G. Charalambous and P Roberts as coach, formed the Oxford House Kickboxing Club. Since then that club under the guidance of P Roberts and assisted tutoring of Professor N G Charalambous has produced several champions, most notably Jacko Ali (WKA World Champion and producer of Channel 5's "Night of Champions"), Mushad Ahmed (WKA British Champion), Brian Nelson (WKA and WKU Southern Area Champion) and Naima Rahemi (PKA World, WKA European and British Champion).
Goshin Ju Jitsu Association GB gives a modern twist to an Ancient art. We try to be unique amongst other Senior clubs and Associations as we combine the old ways of Japanese Ju Jitsu with the modern ways of Brazilian Ju Jitsu as well as Muay Thai Boxing and various other skill borrowed from diffrent Martial Arts collected over 50years of combined training. We offer a comprehensive style of Martial Arts that gives the students adults or juniors one of the broadest ranges of style in the Arts and the founders members myself and Prof N G Charalambous are very proud of being able to offer our teaching services to help people view Goshin Ju Jitsu as a Life Skill.
Our Aim
The chief aim of the Association is to provide a safe and friendly environment for members to learn Martial Arts and have fun in the process. Historically, we have worked both nationally and internationally with various voluntary and statutory organisations, holding Self-Defence workshops and Seminars. We have extensive knowledge and experience in providing Close Protection Services and Close Protection Training.
At present we provide EES (Early Stage Security) for 14yr to 18yr olds given them an introduction into the Security Industry. We do this through the boroughs of Haringay, Camden, and Barnet. We are also working with Sifu Andy Sofos (S.A.S Combat Actvities) in providing training for WOMEN AGAINST VIOLENCE, not only teaching Self Defence techniques but also educating young males that this type of behaviour is UNACCEPTABLE in todays society.
The association prides itself in being able to offer multiple benefits to the community including self development through personal training, instruction on fitness & well being, all of which helps to instill an edge of self confidence in all age groups. We have an equal rights policy so as not to allow any raceisium or sexisum or gender issues to affect our training program. We can cater for physical disabled individuals also.(depending on the severity of the disablity)
